Think... Word count 200

It's not the muscles that make me strong. It's not the sports that make me strong. It's in my mind. I’m mentally strong, which makes me even stronger than others, even if they have the athletics, and the muscles. I’m like an elephant, Elephants are big, but that's not all they know. They know that they could crush a baby cheetah, easily. But they know they can go beyond just the crushing just because there big and it's small. They take advantage of their mind, and how large it is. Elephants choose to think unlike the king of the jungle, which will attack without being aware of what they are doing. I have to protect myself, but I will not attack just because I know that I’m capable. I will think and be mentally strong to throw the bad things out of my mind.

I learn to remember, and how some bad things are good. My cousin’s death was bad, but he was a good person. Whenever I choose to think of him, I think of his death. It’s good I think of his death so I can think of him. TO BE CONTINUED…

AWH (in school)

Eric screamed and dropped my iPad in fear. Foxy killed him again. During lunch today me, Eric, Thomas, Vivian, Megan, Ania, Aria and Jordyn sat in mrs. Roberts room. after we finished our school project, we decided to play five nights at Freddy's. five nights at Freddy's is a game. where you are a security guard for a pizzeria. there are these Robots that used to sing at parties like the things at chucky cheese. the thing is they got old and stopped working. Apparently the robots didn't like that, now the robots came alive and are trying to kill the security guard at night. there are five nights that you  have to survive but there are two extra nights for after you've completed five. I was so close to night five until one of the robots foxy came from one of the hallways of the pizzeria and killed me. it startled me and Eric so much that he dropped my iPad and breathed hard with a smile on his face.
" I told you to close the door" I said with a smerk.
" but it would waste my energy."

CONTINUED

As that's what was happening. My mom returned along with my uncles, aunts and  my uncles girlfriend. They pulled up on the rest spot and immediately dialed 911. There was another lady on the spot with her older kids. She asked what happened and my mom said, " one of my little cousins fell out of his canoe and he didn't get out! Please call the police."
" oh that's horrible! I'm on it right now... Hello! A woman at the Oscoda boating river has lost one of her little cousins in the water! He hasn't come up and we don't know where he is!" She explained.
I could hear everything because she put her phone on speaker and still decided to yell into the phone.
" ok we're sending the underwater ambulance right now! But does this kid know how to swim?" They asked.
" HE COULD BE DYING AND YOU WANT TO KNOW IF HE CAN SWIM!?! IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HE CAN SWIM, IT MATTERS IF HE CAN BE SAVED IN A MATTER IF FIVE MINUTES!" She screamed then he slammed her finger on the end button.

I heard the adults talking to Police, doctors and the manager of the river. There was lots of yelling and panicking. There was pressure flying between us kids. But we know we had to relax because if we didn't, there would be lots more pressure than there already is. about ten minutes later I heard the sound of a motor boat and sirens. they really came! There gonna save him! I thought. They pulled up in the rest spot talking to my mom and uncle about what had happend. Then my mom and uncle Gart got in the boat and vanished into the fog.

The breathtaking adventure continued

I searched through the water in fear, in confusion. My mom had just told my uncle, who was leading the canoe that my cousin Jamil had just fallen in the water. Usually it would be no big deal that someone fell in; it would actually be kind of funny. But this time it wasn't. Jamil fell in without a life jacket, and when my brother and cousin, who was in the canoe with him, tried to throw the sitting mats at him so he could get pulled in. But he was too busy panicking because he fell in 15 feet of water. When he panicked he soon got tired and went under. I could hear my brother screech in fear from a mile away. My uncle and my other cousin, Cidni, rowed so fast the boat rocked back and forth. When we got to the site where he fell, my uncle bolted into the water with his clothes on, pushing water back and looking for him with his eyes wide open. Then he screamed as if he had seen a ghost.

False alarm. It was a stick floating in the water. After I recovered  from my heart dropping of fear, I saw my aunt, my uncle, my mom and my brother and cousin. When my brother Khalil arrived at the bank In a canoe with everyone else, he had tears dripping from his eyes and seemed panicked.
" he's gonna die, he's gonna die!" He repeated. The tears trickled down his chocolate skin and dripped into the warm sand.
" he'll be fine, someone's going to find him." I said as I rubbed his back to make him feel calm. We sat there in silence with cidni and my other cousin Donovan. We sat there for longtime as the adults in the family canoed all over the river asking if they had seen a teenager in the water. Then that's when my brother announced,
" cold water conversion! He'll live if the water's cold enough to wake him up." Khalil ran down to the shallow part of the water getting his shoes and pants soaked. Khalil dipped his finger in the water to feel the shining gray water. He trudged back up the bank with glassy eyes. I could already tell that the water wasn't where it needed to be.

And that's what was happening.

I heard the adults talking to Police, doctors and the manager of the river. There was lots of yelling and panicking. Instead of yelling, why not be trying to SAVE HIM!! I thought angrily. About ten minutes later I heard the sound of a motor boat and sirens. they really came! There gonna save him! I thought. They pulled up in the rest spot talking to my mom and uncle about what had happend. Then my mom and my uncle Gary got in the boat and vanished into the fog.

Hours later something came out of the fog, it was the motor boat. My mom and uncle jumped out of the boat and sat next to us. The police in the boat stood up, but remained inside.
“Well, they found him two miles downstream than where he had fallen. His foot was also stuck in a tree which was probably why he didn’t come up.”

When we got back to the cabins the kids were told to go outside while the adults talked. I thought about what happened at the river and if I could have done something. Minutes later the kids were invited into the main cottage and sat down.
" Now this is why we are suppose to be safe in the water." My mom explained. " Jamil died about 45 minutes ago due to failing CPR." Her voice trailed off. Eric, which is Jamil's dad sat in the corner of the couch until we all stood up and prayed. I prayed that he would make a safe way to heaven and that we he would see his grandmother up there with him. We packed up the cars and went home with no extra conversations, left the cabin site and drove home in silence.

The moral of my story would be not to panic in a bad situation. If you do, it gets you no where but trouble. But at the same time, the moral is that the people who die are not gone, there time on earth was just short. They will always be around, watching over you.

Word count goal (300)

I walked through the studio and landed down in a straddle along with the other dancers. We stretched for seven minutes and then went over our dances. I worked on turning in the mirror to correct my form. I lifted me right foot into passé and spotted the mirror. Then a couple of other people joined me in the mini session.

All of a sudden, I heard Kennedy, the teacher in training say “ok, let’s have a little contest. Everyone line up at the bar.” She announced. We rushed to the bar in confusion.
“Now everyone but your leg into a heel stretch. Whoever lasts longest in their stretch, wins a free Gatorade.” I had to win this. Not only for the Gatorade , but to prove myself to everyone that I’m just as determined as the girls that have been there before this year.
“Six minutes. The reason for this exercise is for you to want it! You have to earn it. Other people out here just get what they want, but we have to earn it and to want to earn it!” she said in a motivating voice.

That’s when I started to feel the burn.  And I’m pretty sure other people did too. We started to moan and groan about the pain in out thighs. When our legs are up high for a long time, we start to cramp in the quad area, the hip area, and in the triceps area (from holding your leg). When that occurred, we started to get out because our legs were giving out, but not me. I was in the top three left, the bottom two. The pressure was on. It was me and chase left. We’re friends, but now it competition. We lasted 12 minutes; we beat the oldest girls in this contest! But it was still going on. Now we had to do it towards the back. TO BE CONTINUED

the great guinea pig

" But please ma! I'll keep my room clean for two months!" I begged. i had walked down stairs just in time to hear my mom talking about rodents.
" No. Guinea pigs stink, they poop everywhere and the are caged animals." she said. I had to win this debate, considering the fact that i always lost debates. I have been looking up guinea pigs for the past three months and now I was at the part where i ask for one.
" I'll clean up the cage, and ill let it explore my room. plus, i've researched the different kinds of guinea pigs. there is one called ta skinny pig and there so cute! there like ugly hairless rats but there not!" I exclaimed.
" well i don't want a ugly rat looking thing in my house."
" there only $35, and premier pet supplies could order a couple for us. And they don't shed. so its a win win situation." i said with he brightest smile on my face. my mom looked like she had  just woken up from a horrible sleep, the corner of her lips downward, her eyes slouched. and with a little breath she managed to say, " you better keep your room clean" YES!! I thought. if i kept my room clean for 2 whole months, then i get a cute hairless guinea pig. i ran upstairs, got on my computer and researched about the needs of a baby skinny pig.
