Literary Essay
have you ever been so desperate for love, that you enrolled in a French class, and made up French words to impress a girl? hopfully you haven't, but victor from the book seventh grade has. You will learn about how he can be so desperate right here!

Victor promised himself that he get Theresa to be his girl. apparently, Victor thinks that he would impress Theresa, and she would want to go out with him for something so small. Victor had to find a way to impress Theresa. He was going to be in French class with Theresa, and that have him a chance to show off. Mr.bueller asked if anyone knew French. victor raised his hand, wanting to impress Theresa. the teacher beamed and said, "tres bien. paralez-vous francais?" Victor didn't know what to say.

when victor steps up to speak French in front of the class, he feels he will impress Theresa and everything will be fine.that is until Mr.bueller asks him a question he should answer in FRENCH! Victor is speechless and doesn't know what to say. but he has to say something. so he makes up words that sound frenchie to play it off. the class grew very silent and eyes were all around him.

victor realizes that he really likes Theresa and he really wanted to impress her. it says he was "sweaty with shame" (58). He feels he failed at his attempt of getting Theresa to be his girl and that he didn't impress her. he had one problem and the same emotion - shameful that he didn't have Theresa. but they are still friends. I guess victor wanted more than that, but never got it. I would say to bad for him, but he was so brave to stand in front of class and make a good impression. that tells that he would do almost anything for Theresa.

In seventh grade, victor realizes that he would do anything for the love from Theresa. he needed some way to impress her. he is desperate for love, so he does his best to look for signs that Theresa likes him. Victor has never felt so in love, confident, and brave to say the fake French words.
